Policies
Thank you for your interest in piano lessons. To ensure a positive and productive learning experience, please review the following policies.
1. Piano Lesson Duration and Scheduling
- Standard lesson duration is 60 minutes
- Lessons are held every week at the same scheduled time
2. Payment and Fees
- Payment is due at each session
- Accepted payment methods include Zelle, Cash, and Venmo
- Monthly payments are available after 3 months of consistent lessons
- All lessons are final sale
3. Late Arrivals
- Please notify me as soon as possible if there is anticipated lateness
- I will do my best to accommodate within reason
- A grace period of 10 minutes will be allowed for unexpected delays or unforeseen circumstances
- If a student arrives late after the specified grace period, the lesson will still end at the originally scheduled time and the full lesson fee will apply
4. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Make-up Lessons
- Please notify me as soon as possible if there are complications
- Cancellations and rescheduling require at least 24 hours' notice
- A missed lesson without proper notice will be charged
- Emergency cancellations will be considered on a case-by-case basis
- Excessive cancellations may affect future scheduling
- For make-up lessons, I will make reasonable efforts to reschedule them
- Make-up lessons are subject to availability
5. Materials and Equipment
- Students are responsible for having a well-maintained piano or keyboard at home
- Students are welcome to order recommended materials and resources, but I can help if needed or preferred
- Ensure the practice space is quiet and free from distractions
- Have all necessary materials, including lesson books and any assigned homework, ready for the session
6. Parental Involvement
- Parents are not required to be present for the full lesson
- Parents are welcome to communicate with me regarding the student's progress and any concerns
- A summary of each lesson and updates will be provided at the end of each lesson if desired
